Vermont Folklife Center Offers Fall Workshops

 

This fall the Vermont Folklife Center is excited to offer three workshops exploring audio field recording, oral history, and socially-informed ethnographic storytelling:

September 22, 2017, 10am-3pm: Recording Audio for Ethnography, Oral History, and Digital Storytelling.

Learn the basics of audio field recording - including hands-on time with microphones and digital recorders.

October 6, 2017, 10am-4pm: The Art of the Interview.

Interviewing is a powerful tool for unlocking personal experience and the remembered past. This workshop guides you through the art and method of ethnographic and oral history interviewing.

October 13, 2017, 10am-4pm: Storytelling for Social Change.

Learn how an ethnographic approach media making can inform and inspire social action.
